Accurate data entry matters… a lot!

First, it is your fiduciary duty to your seller clients to ensure their property is exposed to all who may be interested.  What might appear to you as a small error, can result in your listing not displaying in searches that other REALTORS® are running for their buyer clients. Complete accuracy is extremely important.  Even if you find an error and correct it later, some buyer might have missed your property since it did not come up in searches their agent was running.  A small error can lose a sale for your seller.

Second, you have a duty to cooperate with other brokers in the MLS.  That cooperativeness means making them aware of important changes like the relocation of a lockbox, any changes in showing instructions, changes to the status, etc.  Accurate information in the MLS is what makes the market work.
