If you have been in real estate long enough to consider it a career, give serious thought to getting your Broker’s license.  The license is not just a path to opening an office and hiring agents.  It provides you options when you need options.  This year alone, several CMR members without broker’s licenses have found themselves having to change firms unexpectantly upon learning their current firm is dissolving for one reason or another. 

With a salesperson’s license, time must be spent determining who will be your next Broker, since you can’t act alone.  With a broker’s license, however, you can work alone if you choose while giving thought to the best next move. Don’t get caught having to make a quick decision that might not be the best.  Get your broker’s license so you will have options.
