If yes, NAR has an award for you – REALTOR Emeritus Status.

Through 2019, a REALTOR® Member who has held membership in the National Association of REALTORS® for a cumulative period of 40 years, and has completed at least one year of service to the Association, is eligible for REALTOR® Emeritus status. Certified REALTOR® Emeritus members do not pay dues to the National Association and are exempt from the Code of Ethics Training requirement. Beginning in 2020 and beyond, the criteria will require proof of at least year of service at the National Association level.

Oct. 2, 2018, is the deadline for receipt of completed certification forms and supporting documentation for approval by the NAR Board of Directors at the November 2018 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in Boston, MA. Applications are online at nar.realtor and must be filled out by CMR staff. The dues waiver does not take effect until the following 'dues season.' For more information on REALTOR Emeritus status, contact beverly@cmr.realtor.
