There seems to be some misunderstanding about how Home Inspectors schedule appointments and perform their inspections. Let’s review:
- Although some home inspectors have an MLS key to access a listed property after an appointment has been made, they do not have access to the Paragon system to make the appointments. The communication about scheduling the inspection generates from the buyer’s agent to the seller’s agent, who then gets approval from the seller.
- Buyers can attend a home inspection only when accompanied by his/her agent. Buyers cannot be in a listed property unattended unless with the written permission of the seller.
