Greetings from President Rod Crosby
Dear Central Mississippi REALTORS®,
I want to thank you for electing me as your 2018 President and acknowledge all those who have come before me. I’m grateful to have worked with such talented and hard-working past-presidents, officers and directors. I am excited to see where your new chapter takes you.
I extend a special THANK YOU the 2018 Committee volunteers. This year we received a record number of applicants proving that your enthusiasm to serve your peers and industry remains strong.
Our committee kickoff event held last week was a success and volunteers have already begun to outline new ways for you to get involved! I also want to thank our affiliate partners because our success wouldn’t be possible without their continued support and dedication to our association. We are constantly working on ways to improve your value proposition. I’d like you to know that your ideas are always welcome.
Finally, I extend my sincerest gratitude to the CMR Staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes every single day. Our Association staff ensures that we are a united force representing “The “Voice for Real Estate” in Central Mississippi.
President’s Challenge
As the demand for housing in our tri-county area continues to increase, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing a surge in the number of new members each month. CMR reported 313 new members in 2017! Now makes the perfect time to rebrand ourselves as industry professionals. With that, I challenge each of you to adopt a new commitment to professionalism in every transaction. We have the responsibility of extending professional courtesies to the public, our peers and their properties too. Brokers, please review the Pathways to Professionalism with your agents at your next sales meeting.
This will be an exciting new year for Central Mississippi REALTORS®. Your professional growth is the priority for my board. This week our board will convene to set strategic initiatives that will guide us in executing our mission over the next 24 months. We strive to offer you best-in-class events, programs, and services as a benefit to your membership.
I invite you to join me at our opening event the 2nd Annual REALTOR® Winter Workshop on Tuesday, February 20 at Highland Colony Baptist Church. This event replaces the General Membership Meeting and you don’t want to miss it! We’ve invited award-winning business author, Mandi Stanley, to the stage. There is no cost to register before February 16.
