We would like to let you know of an important change in the way we accept payments.
Effective May 1, 2020, we will no longer accept cash and checks as payment options. Both, the Board of Directors for Central Mississippi REALTORS and the Board of Directors for Central Mississippi MLS adopted this policy change regarding payment of dues and fees.
Members and MLS subscribers are encouraged to use the member portal to make payments.
Benefits to You
- Checks get lost in the mail leaving opening the potential for fraud.
- Checks are more difficult for members to track, while credit card payments can be monitored through the member’s credit card provider and without having to wait for checks to clear.
- Credit cards have built-in payment plans, which have been requested by many members.
- Credit cards offer purchase protection for other types of purchases including return protection, zero fraud liability, purchase warranty, and purchase protection. Not all credit cards are the same, so check with your institution and take advantage of any benefits offered.
