Robert “Bobby” Morgan II Vice President, Public Affairs | Mississippi Division of Atmos Energy Corporation

Robert “Bobby” Morgan II currently serves as vice president of public affairs for the Mississippi Division of Atmos Energy Corporation. Atmos Energy is the largest gas utility operating in the state of Mississippi. Bobby joined Atmos Energy in the summer of 2019, where he leads the public affairs team in promoting the company’s position on issues to various community and governmental stakeholders. Bobby previously served in the administration of Governor Phil Bryant for four years as director of public affairs and as Governor Bryant’s senior economic development policy advisor.

Prior to joining the governor’s office, Bobby served as communications director for the Mississippi Republican Party and began his career in Washington, D.C. where he served as an intern for former Congressman Chip Pickering, Senator Roger Wicker, the lobbying firm BGR Group, and the Republican Governor’s Association.

Bobby is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Ensign Morgan is currently assigned to Navy Public Affairs Element East at Naval Station Norfolk.

Bobby is a third generation Mississippian. He was born on Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. He left Mississippi at age six, moving to Italy for four years and then Turkey for three years before his parents retired to the Florida panhandle. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of Mississippi in 2009.
